ByteCLo — Web-Based File Manager & Cloud Storage

This Privacy Policy explains how ByteCLo handles information when you use our web-based file management and cloud storage service.

1. Information We Collect

• Account information: username and, where provided or required, email address.
• Authentication information: passwords are processed for authentication and are not intended to be stored as plain text.
• Files and data: files and folders that you upload, create, edit, or manage through your ByteCLo account.
• Payment information: payment transactions for paid storage services are processed through our payment provider, Stripe. ByteCLo does not need to receive or store your full payment-card credentials when those details are handled by the payment provider.
• Technical information: information that may be generated when the service is accessed, such as IP address, browser/device information, request information, and security-related logs.

2. How We Use Information

• To create and maintain your account.
• To provide file storage, file management, authentication, and related services.
• To process and verify payments for paid storage packages.
• To protect the service, prevent abuse, and investigate security incidents.
• To communicate with you about your account, payments, service issues, or support requests.

3. File Storage and Security

Your uploaded files are stored using cloud infrastructure used by ByteCLo. ByteCLo applies technical measures intended to protect account and file data, but no internet service can guarantee absolute security.

4. Service Providers

ByteCLo may rely on infrastructure and service providers such as Cloudflare for hosting/network services and Stripe for payment processing. Information shared with a provider is limited to what is reasonably required for the relevant service.

5. Data Retention and Deletion

Account and stored-file data may be retained while your account or the relevant service remains active. When an account is deleted, associated data may be deleted or removed according to the service's operational and legal requirements.

6. Your Choices

You may access and manage information available through your ByteCLo account. For privacy questions or requests that cannot be handled through the service, contact us at support@byteclo.com.

7. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy when the service or applicable requirements change. The updated version will be published on this page.
